The original painting completed in October 2008 is 4x6 1/2 feet and hangs in a cafe near Grovers Mill NJ. It was created in time for the 70th Anniversary of the Orsen Wells radio show broadcast that took place on Halloween eve in 1938. Listeners across the country thought this radio drama that was treated like a breaking news story was actually taking place! with Martians that were squid like attacking a small town called Grovers Mill NJ not far from Princeton. It coused fear across the country as people thought we were under attack! This small agricultural town was randomly picked by stabbing a pencil into a map by the radio broadcast team.

This is to date the only image of what may have been imagined by listeners in 1938 on Halloween Eve while listening to Orson Welles and the famous CBS Mercury Theatre On The Air broadcast. The scene is Grovers Mill New Jersey 1938 - Grovers Mill was thrown into the spotlight by randomly stabbing a pencil onto a map to choose a location for this adaption of the HG Welles classic.

A recent comment I received: Your work is awesome.... I spent my barefoot years in Princeton Jct/Princeton and know the stories all to well.. I was not around in 1938 but every Hallows Eve... we would be reminded of the story just before going out to Trick or Treat... now talk about spooky.... Ice skated on the pond..had our skates sharpened at the Mill and the PJ Volunteer Fire Company would start a bond fire so we would keep warm... Great Memories
